Stop Homophobia Today 2010! is inspired by the many people who directly experience homophobia on the sports field, in the pool, in the football team and on the basketball court and who keep turning up week after week despite the homophobic sledging.

Homophobia is damaging – it harms, hurts, damages and in far too many cases, kills.

Homophobia is one of the last great “silences” in behaviour that appears acceptable in society only because no-one challenges it when it occurs. It’s time to Speak about Silence – and end Homophobia in the Sporting World!

We are proud to again have the following community partners working alongside us for Stop Homophobia Today! – Victoria Speaks about Silence – Homophobia in the Sporting World, for the 2010 International Day Against Homophobia (May 17th):-
