The mere fact that gay and lesbian families are constandly treated like second class citizens is evidenced by our ommission on all types of forms, census, data collection, research, government policies, etc....merely reinforcing the fact that society does not view us as being equal to heterosexual families. As the mother of two young boys who have been born and raised in a loving homosexual relationship I will take anyone on who thinks my boys are missing out or that we are less of a family because there is no male in it. They are growing up with love, support, encouragement, social awarenss and kindness. What more could you ask for. The most damaging discrimination is exclusion in my opinion.
